Avast is one of the biggest names in the cybersecurity field. It is well-known for its outstanding malware detection, web security and other security features, such as a boot-time scanner and virtual desktop. It is also compatible with many devices, and includes an absolutely free VPN.

Avast has a solid privacy policy. The company states that it will only collect data necessary for security. The company’s analytics business Jumpshot sells information only after it’s been de-identified.
