Alation offers a range of customers, including GlaxoSmithKline and the Singapore Tourism Board, Air France, NASDAQ and Autozone.
Erwin is a different option, which combines data management with other functions within an integrated software suite. It connects physical metadata with specific business terms, allowing users to discover and harvest relevant data, assess the data’s lineage and audit them to ensure compliance. It permits organizations to apply version control to data quality standards and governance rules and monitor changes to metadata through its Data Jumpstart Service.
